HERSHEY AREA NEIGHBORS AND NEWCOMERS CLUB

Check out our Frequently Asked Questions here!

OUR VISION

The Hershey Area Neighbors and Newcomers Club (HANNC) was established by a group of women in the 1980's.  At that time, they named the club the "Hershey Area Neighbors Club".  The name was updated about 10 years ago so people would better understand that the club is not just for new people to the area, but also for anyone living in the area.

The vision of the founders was to create a social environment that provided members the opportunity to...

  • Meet new people and build lasting friendships

  • Choose and attend engaging activities

  • Cultivate special interests

  • Learn about the area we live in and the intriguing people around us.

HANNC has been a thriving Club for over 40 years, which is a testament to its ability to remain current.  The Club continues to promote its core values while adapting to today's ever changing social environs.  HANNC is dedicated to providing a friendly and considerate way to congregate.

We are proud to bring together women from Dauphin County, Lebanon County and areas beyond.  Join us today---we would love to share all that HANNC has to offer.

HANNC members enjoy meeting through various activities, interest groups and guest speakers.

As a member, you will receive our monthly Newsletter which provides the location of the activities and events planned for the month.  Some activities are hosted by members at rotating locations.

HANNC also holds a monthly General Meeting from Fall through Spring, which often includes a guest speaker from our surrounding areas.  The topics for discussion are compelling and informative, and are considered a wonderful benefit of membership with HANNC.  Guests are encouraged to attend.

Below we provide a list of exciting groups and activities from which to choose.  Get involved!  Explore and expand your interests!  Make new friends!

Wooden Bookshelves

Please see below the exciting book(s) we have chosen for our next Book Club meetings.

The book for May is Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.  "Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman.  But it's the early 1960's and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality.  Except for one:". - - Goodreads

PLEASE NOTE:  There will be no Book Club meetings in June or July.

WEEKLY WALKERS

This activity takes place most Tuesdays of the month at 10:00...unless it is raining. This informal group walks at a local park to exercise and enjoy the company of others. It is a great way to meet likeminded people. Reference our Newsletter for up-to-date information.
